Hello Peeps!
I am taking part in the QV1 Descent to raise much needed funds for Rebound WA; a WA registered Charity which provides social, recreational and sporting opportunities for children and adults with a physical disability.
This Charity receives very little funding from government, so right from the outset, I thank you for helping me to make a difference for Rebound WA and the children and adults it helps.
Some of you might be aware that I have a fear of falling but I am not going to let that stop me from getting out of my comfort zone!
The Challenge will involve me confronting my fears and abseiling down 40 storeys which is 160m!
Most of us are pretty privileged that we do not live with a disability and we often take this for granted. Rebound WA is doing some amazing work to support people with disability, creating opportunities through sports and recreation to enrich their lives. So let's get behind them!
Thank you once again for helping me to make a difference in the lives of so many.
Here are some of the ways in which your generous donation can make a difference:
• $50 – can help provide one person with a disability free membership for a year, introducing them to the world of disability sports and connecting them with other members.
• $100 – can help support one child with a disability through a full Term’s worth of Junior Activities. Our ‘Whiz Kidz’ program for kids aged 5-12 is a multi-sport and recreational program that helps to expose our youngest members to a huge variety of different opportunities, all in a fun, social environment.
• $200 – may help support one junior member to attend a recreational camp for a weekend, giving them the opportunity to take part in fantastic activities as well as make new friends, in a supportive and social setting.
Thanks for your support! I would love to see you at QV1 on the day if you can make it. If not, watch this space for photos after the event!
Thank you muchly
Candy
